Graduation Checklist
Follow the checklist and check your MRU email for important updates.
• Graduates must arrive by 10:30 AM. During check-in, you will receive your Name Card (Don’t lose it).
• Order your MRU Regalia through Herff Jones no later than April 24, 2025. Remember, you must wear the correct regalia; altered gowns won’t be allowed.
• Pick up your honor cord and stole during the Commencement Fair
• Confirm attendance at the ceremony
• Reserve your guest tickets
– Print your guest tickets or email them to your guests
– Tell your guests to read the Family & Friends Instructions and Directions & Parking

Day OF Ceremony
Family & Friends Instructions:
• Understand our Policy & Security
• Arrive at least 1 hour prior to the start of the ceremony. Ask your graduate what day and time their ceremony will be held, or check the schedule. Doors open 1 hour before the ceremony, but we encourage you to arrive early to help you beat the traffic, as well as get preferred seating.
• Find the correct parking location. See Directions & Parking for details
• Ensure everyone has a ticket; every guest, including infants, must have a ticket. No one will be admitted into the auditorium without a guest ticket. Tickets can be printed or presented on the phone for scanning
• Arrive with your whole party. Seating will be provided for complete parties on a first-come, first-served basis. The “holding” of seats is not permitted. Each row must be filled entirely, and no empty seats will be allowed. Members of your party who arrive separately will be seated separately
• Don’t panic if you’re late. Doors close at the beginning of the ceremony, but graduates and guests who are late will be admitted after the ceremony starts
• Agree on a meeting place before the ceremony. We recommend you plan before commencement on a place to meet your graduate. This will help you find them in the crowds at the end of the ceremony
• Security. All guests and their bags will be inspected upon entering for the safety of those attending. No large bags or backpacks will be allowed into the venue.
• Baby strollers must be kept in the designated stroller parking area in front of the lobby and checked upon entering.
