To the Miami Regional University Community
While we continue to remain vigilant and proactive in our efforts to provide the latest information regarding COVID-19 and how it affects MRU, we are writing today to inform you that a student within the MRU Community has tested positive for COVID-19. The student is receiving proper care and is in good condition.
Since the school transitioned to alternate methods of education on March 13, 2020, it does not appear this student interacted with any MRU students, faculty, or staff on campus within the 14-day window since the student began showing symptoms.
Out of respect for patient privacy, and because this is a public health issue, there will be no further information about individual cases.
We extend our warmest wishes for a speedy recovery to the student.
The health and safety of the MRU community continues to be our primary concern. By following the recommended guidance of the CDC and our public health officials, practicing strict social-distancing, limiting unnecessary movement, and exercising good hand hygiene, we will slow the spread of this virus and overcome this time of crisis.Back To Blog
