Transfer Credit

Transferring to MRU
Applicants requesting transfer credit consideration from previous courses taken outside of Miami Regional University must complete a Transfer of Credit Form prior to acceptance and pay a transfer of credit fee.   Transfer credits will not be considered after the first day of class.  Official college transcripts must be received by the end of the first term or transfer credit may not be awarded.  Foreign transcripts must be translated and evaluated by a NACES or AICE approved credentialing evaluation agency.  The Florida Teacher Program with ESOL may also use an approved member of the Bureau of Education Certification. Official documents must be sent directly from the agency to Miami Regional University.   For further information on transfer of credits, please see the Transfer of Credit Policy in the catalog.

To Request A Transfer Credit Evaluation

  • Make an appointment to meet with an admissions representative
  • Speak with the admissions representative to initiate the evaluation process
  • Provide a copy of your transcripts for a preliminary evaluation
  • Fill out the Transfer Credit Request form
  • Request an official copy of your transcripts to be sent to MRU at the following address:

  • Pay the transfer credit fee to the Bursar’s office

Florida’s Statewide Course Numbering System

Miami Regional University is a member of Florida’s Statewide Course Numbering System (SCNS). This numbering system is used by all public postsecondary institutions in Florida and by participating nonpublic institutions. Transfer of Credits Earned at Miami Regional University to Another Institution
Miami Regional University does not guarantee transferability of credits to any other college, university, or institution. Any decision on the transferability of credits, and whether or not MRU’s credits meet the institution’s criteria, is solely at the discretion of the receiving institute.
